The problem
A Qatari marketplace needed live auctions in two languages, for buyers, vendors and admins, without maintaining four separate products.
What I did
- Led the team: sprint planning, code reviews, mentoring and review standards that cut defects in later releases.
- Designed a multi-guard architecture (customer, admin, vendor and JWT API guards) so four surfaces share one Laravel codebase and data model.
- Built the live auction engine: timed auctions, bid validation, pseudonymous bidder handles and a real-time leaderboard.
- Delivered a 30+ endpoint mobile REST API with per-request Arabic/English switching.
